1 – Metropolis (1927)


Against a breathtakingly stylish cityscape, love between an overworld man and an underworld woman leads to class war. A personal vendetta and an evil robot doppelgänger enter the fray. Melodrama and social comment ensue.

Like: Romeo & Juliet and Frankenstein merged via the pen of Aldous Huxley.
